Who They Are
ICTRA is a German atelier singularly focused on sound furniture: purpose-built racks that remove mechanical interaction between components. Their philosophy is simple and radical, complete mechanical decoupling of individual “mass oscillators” to avoid mutual influence, pursued with obsessive materials research and craft
Hand-crafted in Germany
ICTRA Design builds reference equipment racks that decouple vibration, stabilize mass, and lower the noise floor, revealing blacker backgrounds, deeper dynamics, and truer tone. Hand-crafted in Germany with numerically-optimized structures and precision bearings, each rack is a performance component in its own right.
Our Technology: (why it works)
Sub-chassis architecture & three-point bearings isolate each shelf from the base and from other components for consistent equilibrium and minimal energy transfer.Numerically-optimized, one-piece steel frames deliver extreme rigidity and controlled resonance behavior, the foundation for a quieter system.Shelf systems tuned for stability and load, from PROTO’s adjustable three-point supports to KEO’s gyratory seesaw that auto-levels heavy gear, keep components mechanically calm.

Material science, not guesswork
Bamboo-composite shelves with precious veneers, CDF (Compact Density Fibreboard) elements, and low-resonance tension coupling chosen for their acoustic behavior.

PROTO perfection in the details
ICTRA’s icon: a one-piece steel base, height-adjustable shelf supports with adaptable three-point bearings, and bamboo-composite shelves. Designed for complete decoupling with maximum functional integration; the result is an ultra-quiet platform that lets high-end electronics breathe. (Shelf capacity ~50 kg).

KEO unrivaled in every dimension
Built to amplify feasible limits: all-round accessibility and extreme load-bearing up to 125 kg per shelf, while retaining PROTO’s core construction. Each shelf rides on a freely rotating seesaw that auto-forms stable equilibrium, ideal for very heavy sources, amplifiers, and turntables.
Best for dealers: heavy-duty demo rooms; reference analog rigs; customers with large, high-mass components.

ITO passion, precision, flexibility
A fresh design language: self-supporting steel framework with CDF elements coupled/decoupled via a low-resonance tension system. Two shelf widths (680 mm / 1020 mm), subtle height adjustment, integrated feet for floor decoupling, and 90 kg per-shelf capacity, elegant, configurable, and sonically serious.
Modern interiors, flexible layouts, and multi-component systems needing width and adaptability.
Why a great rack belongs in every line
Every component and every rack is a vibrating mass. Place them together on ordinary furniture and mechanical interactions are inevitable, smearing timing, elevating noise, and dulling impact. ICTRA’s separate, decoupled sound furniture prevents cross-talk between devices, cutting mechanical noise so clients hear blacker backgrounds, steadier imaging, and more effortless dynamics, the kind of instantly audible upgrade that sells itself in a demo
ICTRA Design turns the rack into a performance component, a silent partner that lets the rest of your system sing. Whether you need PROTO’s surgical calm, KEO’s heroic load capacity, or ITO’s elegant flexibility, these racks lower noise, sharpen imaging, and unlock dynamics, and they pair beautifully with any premium electronics, cables, and speakers in your store. That’s why ICTRA belongs in every luxury hi-fi lineup.
